Every skein of yarn and every ounce of fiber is hand painted by Ellen here at our farm. The color inspiration comes from my own personal experiences, especially with nature. I do not have a degree in color theory, just a lot of time spent “playing” with the colors, classes with some wonderful instructors, and most of all, a great love of vibrant colors!

Because each skein is hand painted, there will never be a second batch exactly like the first. Therefore, please be sure to order enough yarn or fiber for a complete project. We can dye a larger amount of yarn in one batch, please ask!

Please refer to the color sheet for our standard colorways. Also keep in mind, that different fibers take the dye differently and that will affect the final color. If you prefer a lighter or darker shade of the colorway, please let us know!

Because of the fact that all the dyeing is done here, we are happy to do custom dyeing of any color you want at no extra charge. If you like a particular color (i.e.. the darker blue in Stormy Skies), we can dye a skein or fiber in that color. Or, if you like a combination of colors, we can work with you to create your own colorway!

Most of you have had the chance to see and feel our yarns and fibers at shows. We are proud to use only high quality “feel-good” fibers..........ones that are a pleasure to work with!
